My P90x diet.. sort of
In just a couple of days I’ll be getting taking my 60 day pictures, to show my progress (or lack thereof) in the 90 day p90x workout.
I think the pics will show progress, but I wanted to fill you in what’s been going on with my P90X diet
First off I did catch some sort of flu or virus (I’m positive it wasn’t H1N1) that kept me down for 4 days, so I just added 4 days to my time line.. so I guess they will be 64 day pictures
Second.. I have to fess up.. I haven’t exactly been “strict” on p90x workout diet.. I’m not bad, but I do cheat. I pretty much stay away from fats by grilling everything.. even vegetables (asparagus on the grill is good) so I eat fish, pork, chicken, and some really tasty “Flat Iron” steaks I found at the store (they’re dirt cheap, but good)
Sounds good so far.. right???
well I also have a “fake” beer with dinner.. you know O’Douls, Kaliber.. those non-alcoholic beers. So while the beers don’t have but a trace of alcohol, they are choke full of empty calories.. that’s bad
The other thing I do is have “cheat” day..
Every Sunday, I eat whatever I damn well please, and a lot times it will be Oscar’s pizza (a local bar and pizzeria).. I told Coach Nancy about this, and while not giving it her blessing.. says it’s OK as long as I keep at.. and I am
So while I’ve been “Good” I’ve not been a diet saint, but the way I look at it if I feel good and my body keeps improving.. a slow weight loss is OK.. besides in almost 60 days I have loss 8 pounds, and gained a lot of muscle… I have biceps now
so net gain.. looking pretty good for an old fart
I guess now that winter is coming (it’s already snowed once) I’ll have to think of ways to cook, that don’t involve grilling… got any ideas let me know
